Meet Angel,

Angel is a proud Nêhiyawiskwêw (Cree woman) raised in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. She is a lifelong learner who thrives on self-discovery, exploring art, and even bends rules just enough to open new creative possibilities. She is driven by creativity and draws inspiration from art, the environment, and her Indigenous community. As an emerging museum curator and Visual Studies student at the University of Toronto’s Daniels Faculty, she carries a toolbox filled with community-driven experiences: curating youth-led zines and climate-justice exhibitions, moderating film screenings, and even splashing our city’s walls with murals that tell Indigenous stories. Angel's journey began with roles at Native Child and Family Services, Nikibii Dawadinna Giigwag, and Indigenous Climate Action, always asking how art can bridge generations and ignite critical dialogue. Today, she's co‑founding an AR/VR storytelling company and helping launch the first Daniels Indigenous Students Coalition. Through every mural, workshop, and panel discussion, she aims to create inclusive spaces where youth, Elders, and allies can reflect, heal, and imagine futures together.
